Urban and Regional Planner Advanced - Multimodal Transportation Planner

This position is responsible for interpreting and implementing federal/state legislation, policy, guidelines and administrative rules regarding bicycle/pedestrian accommodations as they apply to state and local highway improvement projects and programs. In addition, this position serves as the Region’s technical expert to the Region’s planning and project development sections, the Southeast Regional Planning Commission, consultants, and local communities on bicycle and pedestrian facility design and accommodation issues. Work products include professional analyses and recommendations, detailed project plan review, comments and recommendations, community involvement materials, and developing complex study designs, reports, research, and evaluations, which provide significant input to the development of region, division, and department multi-modal transportation policies.
