Transit Procurement Specialist 1 or 2*

Join the Metro Transit team! This is responsible, professional entry-level procurement/purchasing and accounting work supporting Metro Transit's purchasing, grants, and capital projects. Work includes preparing solicitation and contract documents, processing purchase requests, maintaining procurement and contract records, and supporting grant and capital project accounting and reporting. Work is performed under the direction of the Transit Finance Manager. This series is structured to provide advancement from Transit Procurement Specialist 1 to Transit Procurement Specialist 2 and then to Transit Procurement Specialist 3 as a function of the employee's career development and generally occurs after two years gaining experience, mastery and greater independence at each level. Transit Procurement Specialist 1 starting salary is $73,004.10; Transit Procurement Specialist 2 starting salary is $79,185.60. Classification level will be determined at the time of hire and will be based on the candidate's overall qualifications.
