Statewide Local Program Manager

The Statewide Local Program Manager position administers WisDOT’s local federal improvement programs (totaling over $100 million annually) and provides on-going, complex program and policy development, analysis, monitoring, and evaluation. Managed programs include the Surface Transportation Program (STP), Local Bridge Improvement Assistance Program, and Local Small Structures Improvement Program (LSSIP). As the department’s recognized expert for these statewide programs and their issues, the incumbent develops and critiques large-scale policy modifications and concepts for division and department management, serving as a primary advisor on these issues. The position is responsible for monitoring the financial impact of these programs on the department in consultation with the Bureau of State Highway Programs (BSHP).
