The Institution Physician is responsible for providing professional Primary Care medical services to persons in our care. The Primary Care Physician diagnoses and treats illness and injuries, and arranges for professional consultation when warranted. The Primary Care Physician develops individual plans of care for patients, performs both chronic and acute care visits, and assists with medical emergencies. This position participates in multidisciplinary care team meetings, and also has the opportunity to participate in quality improvement initiatives. This position also participates in the day and evening on-call rotation. This position also participates in the Quality Improvement Program and Infection Control Program and provides direct care at other institutions during vacations, illness, or emergencies, as directed. Takes on-call assignments as directed by the Bureau. SPECIAL REQUIREME
