Medical Assistant 2

This position is responsible for clinic patient flow within the Health Services Unit (HSU) Ambulatory settings and assisting HSU staff, by providing a broad range of health care services. This position functions as a member of HSU’s patient care team which includes registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), clerical staff, and physicians. Medical Assistants may provide patient care under the supervision of a physician, PA, NP or RN, and perform delegated medical acts which must be directed, supervised and inspected by the supervising physician. Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:Performing clerical services (i.e. scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, navigating electronic medical records, using Microsoft Word and Excel)Performing patient care services (i.e. taking and recording vital signs and medical histories; preparing patients for examination
