Electrician - Milwaukee Youth Facility

Under the general supervision of the Buildings and Grounds Superintendent, this position is responsible for performing work assignments as an Electrician at all DJC facilities. This skilled Trades position is entrusted with a high level of responsibility. Responsibilities include inspection, installation, analysis, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repair of all facility electrical devices, appliances, equipment and system components (i.e. wiring, lighting, switches, receptacles, motors, pumps, switchgear, transfer switches, transformers, power distribution systems and components, etc.) throughout the institution complex and property. This position will report and make recommendations on lighting and power controls, installations, modifications, etc., to further enhance the institution energy conservation efforts.
