Supervises and participates in the work of an assigned athletic field or park maintenance crew. Inspects and completes maintenance of athletic fields, or other park facilities, such as playgrounds, athletic courts, trails, picnic areas, and other park amenities as needed. Inspects and prepares athletic fields daily, to include making repairs, painting lines, and checking for damage. Maintains park amenities on a routine schedule and responds to unscheduled maintenance issues. Completes special park maintenance and minor renovation projects as directed. Determines and lists materials, tools and equipment needed to complete daily assignments. Uses gas powered equipment, walk-behind and hand-held power equipment.
