The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is seeking Engineers-in-Training for the new Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT). These are exciting opportunities for hard-working dedicated individuals eager to join a new department focused on improving and enhancing Nashville’s transportation network. NDOT is seeking qualified engineers-in-training for multiple work assignments related to sidewalks, bikeways, traffic calming and smart city initiatives. These positions will perform a variety of entry level professional engineering duties involving design, construction and/or inspection of municipal projects or work within the planning, installation and maintenance of equipment and control systems. The Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure delivers a range of services, and the nearly 400 employees work around the clock to ensure a multimodal system that offers choice and better connects neighborhoods, residents, businesses and visitors to the place that they need and want to go to in a safe manner.
