Click here to view: The City of Philadelphia EVP: You make Philadelphia work This is technical procurement work of limited scope and difficulty in a central procurement agency or in the Department of Aviation. An employee in this class develops purchasing specifications, purchases an assigned group of commodities, manages bids and contracts for services, supplies, and equipment (SS&E) or public works construction, or develops, modifies, and monitors contract processing procedures for professional services. Work includes working independently on less complex assignments, participating with higher level Procurement Specialists to facilitate the purchasing of commodities, construction contracts, or professional services contracts. Contact with departmental officials, vendors, contractors, and the general public is a significant aspect of the work. Work is performed under the general supervision of a technical superior. HIRING BONUS Employees are eligible for a lump sum hiring bonus of $1,000. The bonus will be paid in one part: $1,000 after the employee has completed three months of satisfactory full-time probationary employment. The employees must meet all requirements contained in
