Park Utility Worker (DPW Parks) (CDL REQUIRED) (Permanent)

Park Utility Workers perform a wide variety of laboring work in the city parks and are responsible for the operation of specialized landscaping or grass cutting equipment. Work involves general maintenance of parks, ball diamonds, golf courses, playgrounds, recreational facilities, and other buildings under department's jurisdiction. Incumbents perform minor maintenance work on the equipment and are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment. Immediate supervision is received from the Park Supervisor I. Supervision may be exercised over Laborers, Laborers I and II. Performs a wide variety of work involving the general maintenance of city parks, ball diamonds, golf courses, playgrounds, recreational facilities, and other building, indoors and outdoors; Operates a variety of specialized equipment as follows: 1. FWD Front End Loader (hi-lift) with Clam Bucket for removing of debris and loading top soil and gravel onto trucks needed to maintain ball diamonds, parks, golf courses; - with plow attachment for snow removal; 2.
