This position in the Bay Region Crews performs bridge/culvert maintenance activities involved in repairing substructure and superstructure of concrete and steel including activities performed on the twin 8000 foot long, 150 foot high Zilwaukee Bridge; region-wide sign shop activities such as fabrication, installation, and maintenance of traffic signs and special pavement marking; roadside activities including spraying pesticide, planting, trimming, and removal of trees and shrubs; and maintenance activities at all roadside parks and rest areas. Additionally, this position assists Region Electricians in the maintenance and/or installation of energized traffic devices. During the winter, duties will continue but may include working at one of the Bay Region highway maintenance garages performing snow/ice removal and related road maintenance. Operate a vehicle or vehicle/trailer combination with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more (e.g., snowplow) when performing maintenance activities. The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (6) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E8) level. Based on education and experi
