This position performs maintenance of state trunk lines within the right of way within the garage geographic area; however, work may be assigned anywhere within the region. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing all surface, roadside general maintenance, and winter maintenance activities, operating various types of equipment, participating in team managed work groups, participating in the Transportation Maintenance Worker (TMW) work element program, and traveling to assigned work areas. This position is required to travel to work sites throughout the Region, requiring overnight travel. Winter work schedule includes afternoon, night, and weekend shift assignments with scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Operate a vehicle or vehicle/trailer combination with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more (e.g., dump truck, snowplow, etc.) when performing maintenance activities. The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (6) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E8) level.
