This classification is intended for intermittent use when a career registered nurse employee is unavailable. This is the experienced level registered nurse position. The RN performs the full range of nursing assignments in a full functioning capacity. Nursing practice guidelines are available but require adaptation or interpretation to determine the appropriate course of action based on the individual situation.
