Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by developing, implementing, and monitoring workplace safety programs. This position ensures compliance with applicable safety regulations, identifies potential hazards, conducts training, and supports continuous improvement in occupational health and safety performance. This position contains a combination of office and field work. Regular hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Alternative work schedules are available, including varying start times and some limited remote work opportunities. • Safety Program Administration: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of workplace safety policies, procedures and programs. • Inspections and Hazard Identification: Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure hazards are addressed promptly. • Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, near misses and property damage. Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare incident reports. Coordinate with Risk department on insurance
