Part-time / Seasonal Aquatics Specialist

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits. Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Operations maintains and operates the county's award-winning park system and provides high quality parks and recreation facilities, innovative programs, and quality services to meet the broad-based needs of Gwinnett's diverse population, fostering a sense of community, creating a safe and secure environment, and enhancing Gwinnett's quality of life. Essential Duties Basic swimming lesson teaching skills/duties. Skill in teaching classes. Demonstrate proficiency in swimming abilities. Ability to handle teaching activities while in the water. Be able to identify problems either visually or by auditory means in order to be alert to life saving needs. Other Job Requirements/Information This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Gwinnett County Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace.
