Part-Time Building Trades Technician III

This position is located within the Parks Department and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of PARKS facilities. This position will have various reporting locations. Performs highly skilled trades work in county owned buildings in one of the following functions: fabrication of cabinetry and furniture,: ensures environmentally safe working and business conditions in buildings and facilities; designs and draws project plans for work to be completed; and reads blueprints or other design drawings to determine work to be performed. Leads and coordinates daily work activities of assigned crew or co-workers: confers with supervisor to obtain direction regarding work assignments and priorities; serves as group lead in absence of supervisor; organizes tasks in order to complete assigned work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; confers with co-workers, assists with complex situations or problems, and provides technical expertise; assists with training and instructing co-workers regarding operational procedures and proper use of equipment; assists with supervision of co-workers by reporting employee problems and providing input on disciplinary action a
