General Crew Chief - Adult Detention Center

This position is assigned to the Adult Detention Center and is for supervising inmate workers performing custodial duties, however, this position could be required to perform the duties in the absence of inmate workers. All training uniforms and equipment for the job will be provided. Employees of the Adult Detention Center are eligible for an additional $1.30 per hour Detention Pay as well as access to free parking and staff dining for free meals during their work shifts. Shift differential pay is also available if working an eligible shift. Supervises the work of inmates assigned to work detail: conducts roll calls; escorts inmates to area of assignment such as food service, laundry, and custodial operations; ensures that work is carried out safely and security is maintained; communicates to inmate workers the scheduling of daily duties and expectations; and trains workers in job functions as necessary. May lead the workers in completing general custodial duties: cleaning and sanitizing showers; cleaning and sanitizing toilets; sweeping/mopping floors; emptying trash; cleaning staff and infirmary areas; and other areas as assigned. May lead workers in providing food service: over
