The function of Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development is to promote and enhance the quality of life of residents, visitors, property owners and businesses of Gwinnett County. The Department accomplishes its mission through programs and services that encourage high quality development as well as maintenance and revitalization of existing neighborhoods. The Department consists of the Administration Division, Building Division, Code Enforcement Division, Development Division, Housing and Community Development Division, Economic Development Division, Customer Experience Division, and Planning Division. Job Description The Engineer position is responsible for multiple aspects of the review process within the Water, Sewer, and Stormwater Plan Review Section in the Development Division of Planning and Development. Primary responsibilities include review of development plans for compliance with applicable regulations and adherence to mandated guidelines pertaining specifically to water, sewer, and stormwater; communicate plan review matters with design professionals and internal staff; provide technical assistance to other County staff, outside contractors, and the general
