Application Engineer

We are seeking an Application Engineer to join our Public Safety ITS team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building high-quality.NET applications, working with relational databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll be responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications, while continuing to improve your skills and growing development within our organization. The candidate must take part in an after-hours on-call rotation with the Public Safety support team, providing basic desktop support to Public Safety personnel. This position is not remote and requires consistent on-site attendance during the onboarding period. Eligibility for hybrid work arrangements will be considered upon the successful completion of the initial six-month period. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all County or departmental policies, practices and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position. Identifies user and public business needs as they pertain to information technology systems; collects information from users; identifies alternative business solutions;
