Encore Retiree Rehire Candidate

Welcome to the Los Angeles County Encore Program Retiree Registry! Our program, led by the Department of Human Resources, helps Los Angeles County retirees to be considered for 120-day temporary assignments by connecting them with partner LA County Departments. When an urgent need for an employee with unique and outstanding skills is identified by departments, they may look to hire a retiree to help address that need temporarily. When departments need assistance identifying retirees with the relevant skills, our program can use the registry to connect departments with potentially qualified and interested retirees. County Departments can reemploy eligible retirees with these outstanding skills and expertise for up to 120 days without stopping their retirement allowance. During this period, members do not accrue additional LACERA pension benefits and neither the member nor the employer make contributions.
