CARAS Grant Lead

Under general direction of the Manager, Community Assistance and Risk Awareness Section (CARAS), Supervising Engineer, Water Resources, the incumbent will serve as a Senior Engineer (Specialist), Water Resources. The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the work of the CARAS, including services provided by consultants. The CARAS is responsible for managing grant programs and assisting communities, dam owners and operators in enhancing, repairing, and increasing public safety. In addition to general grant management, the incumbent will develop grant guidelines, proposal solicitations packages, grant regulations, templates, engineering project ranking criteria, and adhere to the California Water Code.
