FIRE DEPARTMENT TYPE OF RECRUITMENT NON-COMPETITIVE JOB OPPORTUNITY EXAM NUMBER 39302D FILING PERIOD: The application filing period will begin on June 4, 2025, at 8:00a.m. {PT} - Continuous. SPECIAL SALARY INFORMATION $36.03 per session. A session is equivalent to 2 hours. DEFINITION: Under general supervision, performs firefighting and rescue duties in all types of fires and other emergency situations, on an as needed basis. CLASSIFICATION STANDARDS: Positions allocable to this class are temporary and receive training to respond to structure fires, wildland fires, traffic collisions, incident support, medical aids and other all-risk emergencies. Depending on the assignment, positions are supervised by either a Call Fire Fighter Supervisor or Fire Captain. Incumbents have the responsibility to respond to their assigned site or emergency scene on an as needed basis.
