This position function as a Civil Engineer within the Project Development Section of the Southeast Region. The position uses independent discretion and judgment on transportation improvement projects in both the construction and design phases. The position manages activities on multiple projects including those of a highly complex nature for continuity in both design and construction phases. The position serves as a resource and advisor to the supervisors and project leaders. For less than 50% of the time the position may also perform as a construction leader directing major complex projects and assist the team by advising and coaching team members on projects. The essential function of the position is to act as a project manager in the design and construction of transportation improvement projects.
