Automotive Equipment Operator I

Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time Automotive Equipment Operator I (AEOI) position in the Motor Pool department. This position is under the direct supervision of the Automotive Pool Manager I. The AEOI position consists of moderate to heavy labor and may be subject to various weather conditions. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid California Commercial Driver License Class B with a Passenger Endorsement to drive the patient bus equipped to transport fifteen (15) or more passengers and an Air Brake certification to operate the Refuse Packers (trash trucks) and Refrigerated Food Trucks; and have one (1) year experience in operating a box truck, passenger vehicle, forklift, and similar motorized equipment; loading and unloading vehicles correctly and safely; have good mechanical ability; have the ca
