Duties include, but are not limited to: perform inspections on commercial type vehicles to determine compliance with weight, size, registration, safety and equipment requirements, inspect and test all types of commercial vehicle brake systems for compliance with the Vehicle Code and other applicable laws and regulations, operate scales, detect overweight vehicles, weigh and obtain pertinent information. When necessary, refer violations to an officer for enforcement action. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement .
