Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse Special Agent

Under the direction of a Special Agent Supervisor or Special Agent In-Charge, the Special Agent (SA) selected will be assigned to the Facilities Enforcement Team (FET). Within the Office of the Attorney General, the Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse (DMFEA) works to investigate and prosecute fraud against the Medi-Cal program and abuse and neglect within California’s care facilities. Within DMFEA, FET plays a unique and critically important role in ensuring the safety and care of elderly and dependent persons residing in nursing homes and other facilities by prosecuting allegations involving systemic fraud, abuse, and neglect in criminal and/or civil state court actions.
