Education Programs Consultant

The California Department of Education (CDE), Charter Schools Division (Division) is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to join the Program and Policy Office! Under the general supervision of the Education Administrator I of the Program and Policy Office, and working cooperatively throughout the CDE, the Education Programs Consultant duties include, but are not limited to, the following: - Review appeals, including analysis of charter petitions and related materials for denial, non-renewal, or revocation - Provide technical guidance and oversight support to charter schools and authorizers by interpreting charter law, addressing compliance issues, and collaborating with stakeholders - Support implementation of statewide charter programs by reviewing trainings, communications, and contractor invoices, and assisting with monthly charter chats You will find addit
