Building Maintenance Technician - Facilities Management

This position is classified as an essential employee and located in the Facilities Management Department. You may be required to work non-standard work hours for on-call or during inclement weather or other emergency activities. The schedule will be between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Performs general maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment, grounds, and related facilities: and performs semi-skilled manual work involving building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and drywall, masonry, custodial, or other maintenance projects. Assist in ensuring that operation, construction, and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems are in compliance with applicable laws, codes, regulations, and standards: conducts maintenance inspections of buildings, equipment, grounds, and facilities to identify potential problems, unsafe conditions, and needed repairs; and initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations. Performs various plumbing tasks: troubleshoots plumbing problems: installs and repairs plumbing fixtures; clears and unblocks water lines and drains; repairs steam lines, toilets, sinks, faucets, dri
