Part-Time Wellness Assistant

This position is located in the Cobb County Human Resources Department. This position works up to 29 hours per week, Monday thru Friday. The schedule for this position will work hours ranging between 8:00am and 6:00pm, but flexibility in working hours is required. Leads group exercise classes several times a week. Presents to small groups on various wellness topics. Performs a variety of fitness tests, such as body composition. Designs personal exercise programs, and provides general nutrition and dietary analysis. Maintains knowledge of changes in the field of kinesiology, physiology, exercise science and ACSM guidelines. Assists with overseeing fitness center and clinic facilities: conducts new member orientations; inspects equipment and contacts vendors for repairs; monitors center use; maintains and cleans equipment; and coordinate and monitors surveillance/security systems for the clinic and fitness centers. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associates or Bachelors degree in the field of Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, Physical Education or related field; supplemented by one (1) year of experience in personal training, group fit
