The Criminal Division of the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking an experienced attorney in our Felony Review Division. Applicants should be prepared to independently make felony charging decisions as well as run court calls and hearings. Some criminal experience is required. The position requires flexible hours, with night and weekend work on a rotating basis. The State’s Attorney’s Office offers flexible scheduling and the ability to work remotely one day per week. Conducts hearings in first appearance court and detention court. Takes direction from supervisors. Prepares indictments and conducts grand jury proceedings.
