Park Attendant - Berry Lane

The City of Jersey City is seeking a Park Attendant to support the Parks Maintenance Division. The Park Attendant – Berry Lane Park (Overnight) is responsible for the oversight, security, cleanliness, maintenance monitoring, and general upkeep of Berry Lane Park during overnight operating hours. The Park Attendant serves as the primary on-site representative of the Division of Parks and is responsible for ensuring all park facilities are properly secured, maintained, and monitored to provide a safe environment for residents and visitors. This position requires strong attention to detail, independent decision-making, and the ability to coordinate with public safety and municipal departments when necessary. Job Duties: Conduct routine patrols of Berry Lane Park throughout assigned shifts. Secure and lock all athletic fields, courts, playgrounds, and designated facilities upon arrival and at designated closing times. Monitor Park grounds for unauthorized activity, vandalism, trespassing, suspicious behavior, or safety hazards. Ensure all gates, entrances, and access points are properly secured.
