The Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals (BORA) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to oversee the consistent interpretation and enforcement of the Florida Building Code, Energy Conservation, and related local amendments throughout Broward County. This position serves as BORA's primary technical resource on energy code matters and works closely with municipal building departments, design professionals, contractors, and industry stakeholders to promote uniform code compliance and energy-efficient construction practices. Nature of Work: This is advanced technical, regulatory, and oversight work performed under the direction of the Administrative Director. Provides technical guidance and interpretations regarding the Florida Energy Code Assists municipal building departments with energy code compliance issues Conducts reviews of municipal energy code enforcement practices Investigates complaints and responds to inquiries related to energy code enforcement Assists with appeals, investigations, and special projects Serves as a liaison between BORA, municipalities, industry professionals, and the public Develops and delivers training and educational programs E
