The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for an Accountant at Port Everglades. THIS JOB ANNOUNCEMENT WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED AND MAY CLOSE AT ANYTIME. General Description Professional accounting work in the classification, analysis, and reporting of financial data, and may supervise clerical/technical level accounting support staff. Works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or finance; or a Bachelor's degree and coursework that qualifies for the CPA Examination. Special Certifications and Licenses Ability to secure and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License at the time the offer is extended for the duration of employment. Ability to secure and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification card (TWIC) within 60 days of employment and for the duration of employment (if required). Ability to secure and maintain a valid Seaport Business Purpose Credential for the duration of employment. Preferences -CPA -CGFO -CPFO -Master's
