Applications accepted from: ALL PERSONS INTERESTED Service line/Section: Engineering & Construction/CP Technical Support Reporting Location: 5005 Mitchdelldale St, Houston, TX 77092 Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm *Subject to change DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Review drawings and specifications for a variety of municipal projects. Inspect various civil construction sites to ensure compliance with technical specifications and contract documents. Records and submits all daily construction activities on reports and drawings, which include full and specific details on progress, plan modifications, equipment usage, materials, labor, etc. Attaches photographs to reports. Verifies materials used are by project specifications. Ensures the contractor has properly notified residents of construction in the area. Responds to inquiries from the public, civic groups, contractors, technical professionals, and businesses. This position is classified as TIER II. WORKING CONDITIONS The position routinely requires lifting of moderately heavy items (up to 40 pounds) and/or very long periods of walking on rough surfaces on a routine basis.
