Addiction Services Prevention Coordinator (Vacancy)

Under direction, t his position will provide evidence-based prevention education and support for individuals affected by increased risk factors to enhance protective factors and resilience skills related to addiction and trauma. Our goal is to improve community understanding of prevention topics and readiness by following the strategic prevention framework, which include areas such as alcohol and other drugs (AOD), sexual health, suicide and violence prevention, and overall wellness. We aim to strengthen and sustain relationships with at-risk populations of all ages and with community partners. This position involves facilitating small group education sessions, focus groups, and workshops that are tailored to be culturally relevant, age-appropriate, and conducive to different learning styles. Additionally, this position will engage with participants and the community in events that promote drug-free activities and facilitate the dissemination of health-related information.
