Plant Maintenance Electrician I (Vacancy)

The City of Columbus, Columbus Water and Power, Division of Water -Control Center is accepting applications for a vacant full-time Plant Maintenance Electrician I. Under general supervision, t his position will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment (up to 15kVA) as well as associated systems and devices at remote tanks and booster stations. This position will perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment including generators; troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems and equipment using wiring diagrams, schematics, and testing equipment; climb heights up to 200 feet safely or utilize aerial equipment safely to access work; collect data, maintain records, and utilize a CMMS software program; perform general housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, inventory, organizing, or snow removal; and perform related duties as required. Hours are Mon-Fri 7 am- 3:30 pm.
