This position announcement is for Equipment Operator Sr - Fleet Roadside Assistance, a full-time Civil Service position in General Services. This position is located in the Office of Fleet Management division of the Department of General Services and is responsible for operating various types of large complex vehicles and equipment associated with roadside assistance and for performing other skilled and unskilled labor functions. This position is also responsible for operating heavy and light duty wreckers, heavy and light duty tire trucks, light duty salt trucks, forklifts and any other equipment needed for roadside assistance, recovery and to transport vehicles to and from various locations. Performs related duties as required. The men and women in Metro’s General Services Department are there to make sure the rest of government works. From ensuring that our city’s vehicles run safely and smoothly, to keeping city buildings up to par to providing printing services and more, General Services is the support that allows other Metro departments to focus and achieve their missions.
