The Bay Region of MDOT is seeking to fill 1 electrician position based on the preferred candidate's qualifications; however, you will find two job postings running concurrently on this website. If you are a Journeyman, please submit your application for the Electrician Licensed E9 (Job Number: 5901-26-BR-2-ELE9-JH). If you are a Master Electrician, please submit your application for the Electrician Master Licensed E10 (Job Number: 5901-25-BR-5-ELE10-JH). You are also welcome to submit your application for both positions. Responsible for the maintenance of all roadway electrical devices and electrical equipment for the Bay Region. This position performs work independently or as part of an electrician work group to address the state trunkline electrical needs within the Bay Region. Serve as the Licensed Master Electrician on the jobsite and pull permits as required by law. Responsibilities include installing, upgrading, and performing routine and emergency repairs of signals, freeway lighting, pump stations, MDOT facilities, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and related electronic equipment.
